The same effect can easily be obtained just by applying a filter to a perfectly normal image. E.g. this one:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fractalthoughts.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=760\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-760\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fractalthoughts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/2013-01-04-at-11-23-36-1.jpg\" alt=\"Paperbark Trail\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-760\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Resulting in the following image (note that any desired degree of blur can be obtained; this one is 10px.
